  The only reason I am giving Oakland Animal Hospital 1 star is because I've heard good things about them. However the receptionist, Karen, is one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She was demeaning, condescending, and downright awful. She had no sympathy for me or my pet and our difficult situation, and was beyond rude. Additionally, she accused me of providing an incorrect diagnosis for my pet (which a previous vet had given me), acting as if she knew better. Unless you are the veterinarian or even perhaps the vet tech, you have absolutely no business giving me your medical "expertise." Because of her, I cancelled my appointment. Never would I take my pet or my business to a place that employs someone like Karen. I should have listened to the people that warned me about "the nasty receptionist, Karen" but I wanted to give the veterinarian a try because I'd heard such good things. Please take this into consideration before putting your pet and yourself through the difficulty of dealing with this terrible woman.
